Read: 1 Samuel 2:1-10
The story behind Hannah was that she was unable to have children. Then one day she prayed to God and asked him to bless her with a child and if He did, in return, she would give the child back to the Him all the days of his life. Guess what, Hannah was blessed by God and gave birth to a baby boy whom she named Samuel, and she upheld her promise and gave her son, Samuel, to God.
The passage that is known as Hannah's Prayer that you read, in simple form, is a prayer of praise. How many times have you asked God for something and received it and never even thanked Him for His gift to you? I think to many times we go about our daily lives taking every thing for granted and just leave God hanging. Does God not deserve praise from us every single day? I believe that if we were to never receive anything else but salvation from God then that would be enough to praise Him everyday of our life, but God is so loving and gracious that even though we don't deserve it He still provides everything we need.
I challenge you to praise God everyday, if you don't already. Meditate in praise for at least 15 minutes a day, and see how your life will transform. God is so amazing and loving that He wants nothing but the best for all of his children.
